i would like to post some better report about today's meeting, but i still have no connectivity.

what is really important, however, is the positive climate that is being created among group members. as b*** d**** (name obscured due to the "no quote" rule) noted during the meeting today, it does not happen very much to hear a range of international representatives going from the republic of cuba to the international chamber of commerce basically agree on most things that are being said. of course this might change when we will stop discussing general principles and move to actual implementation proposals, but still the beginning of our works was absolutely positive.

this evening we had a nice dinner all together - 22 persons, mostly wgig members, including almost all the civil society and most of the private sector representatives. it was a nice flammenküche-based circulation of food, which led me to know a little better a couple of other wgig members. in the end, it seems we share most of our views - and it also seems that civil society and private sector are much better organized and connected among themselves than the governmental members of the group.
