(((wgig webcast is on)))
15.10.15.2.2005@geneva.ch

finally, everything was sorted out, and so now you should be able to watch the open consultations of the wgig in real time, through this and this page.

the webcast is done through the use of free software, and uses the standard ietf protocols... which means that not all proprietary software will play it correctly :-/ in any case, the page lists a number of players for the various operating systems. you just have to pick "open location" from the player, and copy and paste the url given on the page.

of course, this is the first time we attempt this... so please pardon any problem that might occur, and any feedback or comment will be more than welcome. also, we will possibly post the entire recordings of the day in the next days.

i have tried to connect to some irc servers, so to be able to chat in real time and receive remote input, but it seems that irc is still blocked by the un firewall. if anyone has questions from remote, you might try to e-mail them to me - if i can (subject to my laptop battery) i will try to hand them to the chair. or you can try with the other civil society wgig members - i guess all will be happy to help.
